Oh well...
Once I got back from Linz on Tuesday night it was straight back into classes for me on Wednesday morning at 9am
I mean I was up anyways because of the time difference but come on...9 am for class in the summer? after a month in Europe...boooo
Here are the rest of the photos from my last week and a half in Czech Republic and Austria
courtyard of the castle tower
mini version of the tower
tower bells
panorama of the town from the tower
I loved the bears in the castle moat...they are one of the things I miss most about Krumlov
a new view of their home!
I always wondered why two of the bears would always stay together and exclude the other one...
it was only on the last night that I learned that two of them are brother and sister!
close up of Laibon from the tower - Hi David!
it was a tad windy
bonjour sweater by ASOS
pants by lululemon - they are sold out :(
potato on a stick anyone?
last supper lunch at laibon
my first tea cup drinking blogger photo -
i feel like a real blogger now!
On our last night we had tickets to attend Baroque Night, a performance, dinner, opera, etc put on my members of the town once a year. Tickets were very expensive and we were lucky enough to be given them to us by the Baroque Society in Cesky Krumlov
this was apparently a game they played back in the 1700's
P and I - one of the organizers of our trip
this fruit bird was absolutely amazing...
the fruit looked so delicious, I wanted to eat all of it
live mouse races...
there were also other gambling/casino tables but the photos were blurry :(
yes to glasses? or ...
... no to glasses?
Before the feast, there was a quick little opera put on
I had no clue what was going on but the scenery and the music was amazing so I was happy
After the opera we had a delicious feast in the garden
they used thousands of candles...so pretty
my sad sad attempt at taking an artistic picture of the path lined with candles
apparently the washrooms are in the bushes
they roasted almost a whole pig...mmm bacon
mowing down on watermelon...I probably ate 10 pieces
At the end of the night we had a 'private' old school Baroque fireworks show
These were the traditional fireworks that they had back in the 18th century
These cost thousands of dollars
We went home tired but amazed
